Occupation: Captain and Incident Safety Officer, Ottawa Fire Department Firefighter

I am currently in my 21 st year as a member of the Ottawa Fire Service.

I am trained in Auto Extrication/ heavy rescue, ice and water rescue, rope, collapse and trench rescue.

I am also a member of the Urban Search and Rescue team for Ottawa.

My current role is Incident Safety Officer on C platoon.

I respond to all working fires, auto extrication, and specialty rescues Ottawa Fire Service responds too.

I have been in the role as Incident Safety Officer for 2 years full time.

Prior to being a career firefighter I worked for 15 years as a paramedic and was a volunteer firefighter outside Kingston.
