Personal Life
  • Temi’s full name is Abiodun TemiDire Ambrose
  • Born and raised in Nigeria, Africa
  • Immigrated to Canada in September 2009, after losing his family at a young age.
  • Realizing his life was in danger in Nigeria he fled his country so he would not die at a young age.
  • When he left Nigeria as a refugee, he did not know what country he would end up in. 5 days after arriving in Canada he knew he would call Canada his home.
  • After arriving in Canada he recieved support from The Youth Services Bureau (the Young Men Shelter)
  • Religion is an important part of Temi’s life and he is grateful to God for the opportunities he has in his life.
Personal and Professional
  • After arriving in Canada Temi enrolled himself in computer school and attended Rideau High School
  • Dance was a very important part of life so he auditioned for Canterbury High School’s dance program, where he continued to learn and grow as a performer. He graduated from CHS in 2012.
  • He is currently working on his Bachelor of Arts at Carleton University studying Political Science.
  • Dance has always been a passion for Temi and his repertoire has a variety of styles of dance  –  hip hop, Salsa, Ballet and Bachata.
  • Temi is committed to his art and he has is committed to achieve his personal goals in dance. He is the Head Coach and CEO of his own dance company “Golden Flame Dance company”
  • In January 2018 Temi and his dance partner Aletta Maslova became the World Salsa and Bachata Champions.
  • They travel and teach various types of dance all over Canada.
